  • Healthy eyes don’t need medicine, but certain nutrients can help fight both cataracts and age-related macular degeneration (AMD). All of these responses are on target. Vitamins A, C, and E are great ways to help protect your vision and lutein, like Kate M. mentions, is also a vision protector.

VSP has a great article on their Eyecare Discovery Center around this topic: http://www.vsp.com/discovery/articles/vision-for-food-eat.jsp?topic=nutrition_for_your_eyes.

    Cheers!

Unless you have an eye disease you don’t need any eye medicine. Jelly Bean gave good advice.
The two most important things you can do to protect your eye health is to not smoke and to wear safety glasses for work, sports and hobbies that could result in accidental damage.

This is a bit of a vague question but maintaining a nutritious diet, not smoking and protecting your eyes from harmful UV rays will decrease your risk of developing serious eye diseases in the future. I hope this asnwers your question.
